The moon in Tropical Aries is conjunct the Sun today (which is what makes it a new moon) as well as Chiron and Mercury.
🌚🌝
Healing self image, self-esteem and finding the courage to express yourself are emphasised with this energy, combining Chiron’s potential for triggering feelings of disappointment in oneself (or a sense of inadequacy) with Mercury’s focus (when in Aries) on the next shiny new idea or thing at the expense of healthy self-reflection.
🤔
If this describes what you’re experiencing these days, turn it around so you can see where simply not taking constructive – or perhaps bolder – actions have prevented you from achieving (or had you downright sabotaging!) your goals.
😏
Chiron is a great influence for growth because the capacity for teaching and healing come from hard-won experience!
😜
Rather than dwelling on the disempowered tendencies, recognise where your suffering or disappointment has become a source of wisdom and start to see your own capacity for healing and teaching others, regardless of what you do “for a living”!
🥰
Look for the area of your natal horoscope to see where 11-12 degrees of Aries is offering this strong potential for a brand new start.
🌱
A new moon is always the time for a new beginning, planting seeds or setting intentions for something new to take shape
This is particularly so in the area of life in your chart where Aries is found.
♈️
For Aries and Aries rising this is in your house of self, so look for a whole new way of presenting yourself to the world personally and professionally, or a new way of engaging with people in your life.
😌
Aries is an energy of fresh starts indicating the beginning of the zodiac and increasing daylight, which is why the Sun is very powerful in this sign.
😎
Aries initiates things with enthusiasm and a pioneering spirit but it’s not so good with the follow through!
😬
Where in your life do you want or need to review an initiative that is not being maintained or needs to be set aside for now? 🧐
Just because you start something doesn’t mean it must be finished! We can sometimes find that it was not the right thing to do in the first place.
🤷🏻♀️
But if this is a tendency in your life be sure to find ways to maintain momentum, or reflect more deeply on what you want to start before jumping in!
😅
I’m sorry to bring it up but can’t resist the sometimes literal way astrology describes events: The Will Smith-Chris Rock incident a few days ago happened just as the Sun crossed Smith’s 10th house north node (Rahu – where our drive and even life’s obsession is focused.
😤
The 10th house is career and social status, and given that the Sun only two weeks ago triggered his natal 10th house Chiron-4th house (psychology and family) Sun opposition, these issues have been a tender spot for him lately.
😣
Now his impulsive and inappropriate behaviour will plague him for a long time to come, and have him questioning his tendency to over-expose himself and his wounds.
🤭
The energy of regret, shame, self sabotage and one’s sense of purpose will all be highlighted as the Sun crosses the north node so close to Chiron – especially because it is also a new moon! – making it even more poignant yet nonetheless an issue of “destiny” or fate and karma.
😶
To make things more interesting, Chris Rock has Aries rising and moon – look for him to respond as of the 8th-9th of April and up to the 20th of April, after which the public face of this unfortunate incident will taper off (insh’allah!)
🤞🏻
Much love and best wishes for whatever seeds you are planting at this new moon!
Susan
